Seat Construction - Vision #233

Well, after a long summer filled with home repair/improvement projects, new roof and paint were the major items, I have finally started with the construction of my Vision.

11/01/2003

Seat frame completed. I plan on using the fold-a-plane method on my seat so I did not put in as many cross pieces as called for in the plans. Note: constructed from scrap material left from home improvement projects.

11/13/2003

Foam panels microed together. I'm using the Fold A Plane method to make the seat, I cut the foam so there are no joints in the bend areas. I used some scrap 2x4s to make the supports for the panel accross the top.

11/18/2003

Seat back glassed.

11/25/2003

Front of seat glassed.

11/26/2003

Seat placed in cradle ready to glass curved portion.

11/28/2003

Seat almost finished, I just need to do the curved part under the knees.

Taking Vision #233 for its first flight. Yaaaaa Hooooooooooo!!!!!
Its gotta be side stick controls.

1/10/2004

Glassing the back of the curved section under the knees.

1/11/2004

Two seats, start of a four place vision. The front seat is 10 pounds and the rear seat is 9.5 pounds. The difference might be that I have not glassed the curve under the knees on the rear seat yet.
